Nei giorni scorsi, con questa notizia, abbiamo segnalato come AMD abbia sviluppato un nuovo programma di giochi in bundle per le proprie schede delle famiglie Radeon R7 e Radeon R9. Per la scheda Radeon R7 260X si tratta di un ingresso nel bundle Never Settle Forever, già fornito da AMD in abbinamento alle schede Radeon HD 7000, con il livello Radeon Rewards Silver che offre diritto alla scelta di due titoli tra Thief,Hitman Absolution, Sleeping Dogs, Sniper Elite V2, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon e DiRT 3.
Per le schede Radeon R9, dal modello Radeon R9 270 sino alla top di gamma Radeon R9 290X, la comunicazione inizialmente fornita da AMD ha lasciato intendere che il bundle del gioco Battlefield 4 riguardasse tutte le schede acquistate a partire dal 13 Novembre, ma così non è. Sin dal primo annuncio Sapphire ha segnalato come solo alcune delle proprie schede video della famiglia Radeon R9 prevedano questo bundle, caratteristica specificata direttamente nel nome del prodotto.

An email sent by the AMD PR team to press this Monday that provided details on AMD's Battlefield 4 promotion was not clear and has led to some confusion in the marketplace. It suggested that all customers who purchased an AMD Radeon R9 series graphics card on or after November 13, 2013 would receive a complimentary copy of Battlefield 4. While all AMD Radeon R9 series cards are theoretically eligible for the promotion (which is administered by AMD's channel partners), retailers and add-in-board partners ultimately decide which select AMD Radeon R9 SKUs will include a copy of BF4.
As with all limited promotions, it's important that customers ensure that the specific product they're purchasing qualifies for the promotion, and that they're buying from a participating retailer during the promotion period. Also, it is critical to note that this promotion is only valid while supplies last.
To make it easier for our community to identify bundled products, BF4-qualifying SKUs and promotions of which AMD is aware will be posted on the portal below over the coming days and weeks, as soon as AMD is advised of their activation by its channel partners. We've also received many inquires via email and through Facebook and Twitter from customers who have already purchased an AMD Radeon R9 series graphics card, and are inquiring if the BF4 bundle will be made retroactive. Due to contractual agreements with EA/Dice, AMD was unable to make the BF4 promotion available before November 13th. However, as a gesture of goodwill towards our loyal fans, AMD will be giving away 1000 BF4 codes through our social media channels over the coming weeks. Se per Radeon R7 260X il bundle software è chiaro e ben definito, e soprattutto accessibile a prescindere da quale specifica scheda verrà acquistata, così non è per i modelli della famiglia R9. Solo quelli che il produttore, o il rivenditore, indicherà come rientranti nella promozione avranno una copia del gioco in bundle. L'iniziativa è operativa dal 13 Novembre e per vincoli contrattuali con EA/Dice AMD non ha potuto renderla effettiva precedentemente a questa data. Per venire incontro agli utenti che vogliono una copia di questo gioco AMD ha comunicato di voler donare nel corso delle prossime settimane, attraverso i propri canali social, 1.000 codici per il download di una copia di Battlefield 4: da quanto indicato non sembra che per partecipare a questa iniziativa sia necessario essere acquirenti di una scheda della famiglia Radeon R9.
